Spinal Twist Techniques in Hatha Yoga

MARCEL LEIGH: All right, we're going to start with another variation of the spinal twist. This one gets even better. So from this position, we're going to stretch one foot out in front of us and bring the knee up. All right, we're going to hold the knee to lift the spine nice and tall. We're going to long leg, bring the toe up and the knee up, focusing centering, breathing. Now, we're going to reach both arms front, taking hold of the opposite wrist of the knee that is up. Okay, opposite. We're going to lean the chest forward, hook the elbow in the knee. We're going to lift and look behind you and breathe. Turning the head back to the front, we're going to come back to the center, stretch both feet out. Nice tall alignment, nice deep breath.
