Pick Print Settings for a Vinyl Banner
Hi everyone, I’m Doug Downey on behalf of Expert Village, I’m here today to show you how to digitally print vinyl banners. Okay now to save time that, we’ve imported the banner that, that we just sent, exported for printing. So we open this up here, and we know that our printer is 30.4 inches in width, our banner is 30.39 inches. So one of the things you want to do is, you want to center it on your media so that you know the banner itself will be right down the middle of the material itself that’s available and also, that you start in the middle of the grommets where you start printing here. Then you know that at 120 inches long that you’re going to end up right between the middle of the last set of grommets, so again, we center on the media. One of the important things to do when you get to this point, is to click on quality and then this is where you want to select your profile, these are all the different profiles for all the different medias that go into the digital printer. I personally like the lightweight banner material. If it’s a really knock-out fast, you need to get it out something like this one I would choose high speed. If you are doing something that’s going to be a long, for a long time to go outside you can run it at standard or something that you want really high end, you would do it high quality. And billboard, we don’t use very much at all but again, if it’s something that you really need to get out fast, that’s what you would choose. Also, the other one here available is the BlockOut banner vinyl, or BlockOut Scrim vinyl. Both those work great when you’re choosing your profiles. So then we click okay, and then your banners ready to print. So all you have to do is select the printer, and then go.
