MIKE LOPEZ: Hi. I'm Mike Lopez with Expert Village, and today we're going to be discussing the black color from "Magic: The Gathering", and now I'm going to discuss Cradle to Grave. Cradle to Grave is a powerful card, is an instant from Time Shift as you can see by the insignia here. It is a common. Its again 20 to 25 cents at your local gaming store and Cradle to Grave costs you 1 and a black to play which means its converted mana cost is 2 and what Cradle to Grave does is it destroys target nonblack creature that came into play this turn. Now once again, this card will be played during your opponent's playing phase in which he brought a creature into play. Now, if this creature has haste, it can still be destroyed but when the creatures come into play they're [SOUNDS LIKE] summoning sick so every creature that's summoning sick can be a victim of this as long as that it's a nonblack creature, so once again you can target a creature that just got played after the mana has been paid and the card is played, you can destroy that card and all effects that are going to happen will go to the graveyard and it will be like that card was never played.
