Hello, I’m Francisco Escudero with Sky Banditz Kiteboarding here in Miami, Florida, you want to learn more about kiteboarding go to www.skybanditz.com. Now we’re going to learn one of the most important parts of kiteboarding is a sight survey. First of all we want to know where the wind direction is coming from. Right now I have the breeze coming from this direction, I’m going to just twist my body slightly and I can feel it in my hair, you can see it its kind of blowing this direction. I’m going to put my back to the wind and do a compass, obviously with a compass we have here, which we have north and the two other sides of the compass we have east and west. So with these two right here you’re going to be able to do a quick sight survey and make sure that you have a safe experience when you’re going to go out kiteboarding, staying away from people, kids and everybody else. Okay, so the first thing is that right here north is a neutral position where the kite just hangs out here and it doesn’t have a lot of power. There’s three important pieces of information about east and west here; the first ones is directions of travels and experienced riders, I would ride this way and this way. As a beginner I’m going to ride this way.
