Stretching for Lying Down Poses in Hatha Yoga

MARCELLE LEE: After rest position, we're going to bring the head center. We're going to once again, stretch the arms back and keep them open, starting with squeezing the heels and lifting the feet, opening the feet up, still squeezing that buttocks, pressing pelvis to the floor. We're going to reach one arm front. We're going to bend the opposite leg, take the ankle and just stretch. So, do you see what we're doing? We have arm and foot off the floor. Breathing, holding the ankle, good. Nice, deep breath. Head is up. And rest. Turning the head other side. Coming back into the position. Once again, squeezing heels together, stretch arms back, lift feet, open feet, stretching opposite arm, taking hold opposite ankle and reach. And rest.
