My name is Julia Barbee. My clothing line is Frocky Jack Morgan. On behalf of Expert Village, this is a tutorial on recycling and deconstructing old clothes. If you're interested in deconstructing and recycling clothes, the first thing you need is a base garment and you need to find something with bones that you really like. You might enjoy the shape of a sweater like this or a you might like the shape of the t-shirt, but it has a stain on it. Like this sweater, I think it has beautiful texture but it's a really unflattering shape. This wedding dress I think will fit really nicely, but I don't like the sleeves, the lace, or the bead work. This is a way to identify something that you want to improve upon. Good places to find clothes to recycle are your own closet if you have things that have been stained or family members who have things that they want recycled. Maybe you can look at garage sales or state sales. I love church sales and school sales because they usually have bag sales at the end. Old thrift stores, any thing like that, even on the side of the road sometimes you can find something.
