How to Use the Knife of Attacker Against Him

TRES TEW Hi, I'm Tres Tew. I'm an instructor here at Yeshua's Ryu Martial Arts. I'm going to be teaching you about how to use open hands to defend yourself against the knife and this'll be on behalf of Expert Village. And I'm going to show you how to use your opponent's knife against them, and there's many way to do this. So the fighting stance, now, he comes with an overhead strike. You're just pretty much catching and redirecting it, the knife straight into his leg. Also, if he comes, any kind of catch you can get that turns the knife back to him. As you can see, that's right through his ribs into the heart. Anything that you can do that kind of uses his force and his momentum against him. If he's swinging real wild, and catches himself just like that, that's good. If he swing 'em real wild, he's kind of scared, attackers, just because they have the knife, it doesn't they're extremely confident. Maybe it's their first time, they're desperate something. They're going to be antsy. You can't be antsy. You have to be confident when you go for something. Always be confident and go for it straight on. When it comes with that overhead strike, you just ready to redirect it straight into his leg. And that's how to use you opponent's knife against him.
