Mixing Leavening Ingredients for Irish Soda Bread

My name is Brand Sarkis on behalf of Expert Village. Today I'm going to show you how to make Irish soda bread. Okay what we want to do next is combine all of these ingredients. We are going to take our baking powder down there. Our baking soda get all that in there and our sugar. We are also going to take just a little bit of salt here. A couple of grinds with the grinder, a couple of turns with the grinder rather. We are going to mix all this up. The reason that we are mixing this separately is because if it is in there longer it stays in contact with some thing liquid. So with this we have to wait for everything else before it gets added in. So you also use your fingers and stir it up like I'm doing here. What do I care, it is my finger. On to the next one.
