Choosing a Story: Storytelling Tips

On behalf of Expert Village I am Nicholas the Storyteller here in Miami, Florida and today I am going to teach you how to tell a story. As a storyteller you are going to have to deliver the goods. Yes. And that means that you start working before you ever even pick the story. You only take stories that appeal to you. Stories you like in order to tell them. And the reason for that is that it's a good story if you like it. And once you have picked the story, learn it and practice it and then tell it. But, this is the most important thing. In order to deliver the goods you have to focus on the story, on the story that you are telling. Not on yourself, not on your nervousness, not on whether you look right, not none of that. That's all taken care of before you go on stage. What you have to focus on is the goods of the story.
