How to Maintain & Care for a Pressure Washer Pump

Hi! My name is Matthew Christian from Tampa, Florida and on behalf of Expert Village, today I would like to talk to you about the proper use and maintenance of a pressure washer. This section of the pressure washer is the pump. These are the cylinders that actually do the pumping and this is the crankcase for the pump. This is really what does all the work in the pressure washer. There is not much to maintain here but from time to time, you will want to check the oil level in the pump and it does take a specific oil which we will talk about later but this is the pump assembly. This is what does all the work. This particular pump is a low RPM pump. It spins typically half of the RPM of your typical pump. Your typical pump speed generally runs in the range of 3,000 RPM's. This one is a slower pump and it runs at 1725 rotations per minute or RPM's. The benefit to this is that the pump tends to last longer since it is not turning as many times per given use. It is less wear and tear on the pump. So that might be one thing to consider when making your next pressure washer purchase.
