Introduction to the Recording Industry

I am Matt Bodi with Up All Night Productions located in Miami, Florida. You can find us online at www.upallnightpro.com. On behalf of Expert Village.com, I’m going to talk to you a little bit about running a recording studio, how to open it, reasons to have one and the types of plans that you might be able to bring in. There are many different types of recording studios from the most professional with 96 channel mixing boards to one in your closet with a small little microphone and you know a little piece. There is a lot of competition out there but it’s very rewarding and there are many different avenues that you can go in terms of your clientèle. You can go from making demos for singers and up and coming artists that want to be recognized, there is a big market out there for jingles and radio advertisements, television voice overs, kid songs, you know there is many different outlets for the music. One option is to make the music yourself and try to sell your music and another option is to simply book out studio time where people come in and pay you for the time to come in and use your facility to record.
