MIKE LOPEZ: Hi. I'm Mike Lopez with Expert Village. And today, we'll be discussing the blue cards from the blue block of Magic: The Gathering. Now, we're going to go over Captivating Glance. Captivating Glance, as you see here, is a very cool picture a fairy and a giant which means that something big is about to happen from something small. It's two and a blue. Once again, third turn, very easily played, uncommon still, it's an enchantment. That's an aura which means you enchant a creature. Now, here's what happens. At the end of your turn, you clash with an opponent, if you win that clash, which how you want to clash or clashing is, both players will remove the top card from their library and reveal them and the highest converted mana cost, which is, i.e., in this case, two and a blue--this is three--or however many, the highest will win the clash. Now, when--if you win the clash, you gain control of enchanted creature; otherwise, that player gains control of enchanted creature. Now, what this means is that this enchantment that went on a creature, assume a creature that your opponent controlled, you clash and retake the creature. At the end of every turn, of every subsequent turn, you both will clash again and whoever wins will gain control of that creature. It's basically a pass but it also allows you to take control, by using the spell, take control of your opponent's high creature--once again, blue is about control--and will gain control of your opponent's big, huge creature that he's been waiting to put out. And it also allows you to clash, which not only allows you to look at the top card of your library, but it also allows you to, at the end of the clash, either place it back on top of the library and get it next turn or place it under the library if you no longer need it. So it's a very, very, powerful effect for only three mana.
