How to Combat Bad Stress

So we have all of these symptoms that could get serious if we don't do something about them. But how do I know that stress is being a problem. Well we can ask ourselves some pretty basic questions. How do I feel? Do I feel okay. Now that seems kind of benign. I mean do I feel ok. Ok can be all kinds of things but if I ask myself how do I feel and the word that comes up is tight, tense, unhappy, unsatisfied unfinished thats really an important signal that something is going on. But how do I get to a point where I can actually ask myself that question and get from myself a helpful answer. The one way do it is lets look at this moment as one where I do either do something to relieve the stress or relax. If I can do something that I already got the answer to the question how do I feel. Well I feel like I need to get this particular problem solved. That's action. But what if I don't know. Well one of the good things about relaxing about kinda clearing things out and allowing our minds to be clear and our bodies to be relaxed is we can ask a question like that and maybe get an answer. We can think much more clearly when there is no fear of a saber tooth tiger in the corner of the room. It's very hard to focus on anything else, if I am afraid that I am going to get killed and eaten. If I relax, if I do this breathing or any of a multitude of other possibilities for relaxation then I ask myself what do I want to do now. Or what's going on. Or how do I feel.We very often will get very helpful answer. So paying attention to these moments when things seem a little weird when I am not getting everything that I want when it seems like something should change but I don't know what it is the most effective thing to do is to stop and relax.
