The reason why I like working with the level is because the ball in the middle there tells you if your lines are straight or not. And if you don't have a line that matches it you look at that ball, that ball in the middle and you know that you have a straight line. That tells you if your line is straight or your line is crooked. If you go this way too much it should tell you its off, come this way it should tell you that its on like popping corn. You'll be alright
On the level, the "ball" Joseph mentions is actually called a "bubble". Also, a level is unnecessary, if not the WRONG tool to use. Heck. You just need a straight edge and a right angle tool... like a square. Actually, generic US electrical outlets can be tweaked up and down by 1/4", so you can be sloppy up to 1/8". In part I of this video, Joseph already took measurements from the adjacent piece of drywall and the floor and wrote it on the wall with a pencil. He just needs to measure the same distance from the bottom left of this piece and transfer those dimensions on to it. If I were a homeowner or gen-con, I would highly recommend NOT hiring this guy.
