How to Make Cranberry Jelly

Hello! I'm Jennifer Cail and on behalf of Expert Village, today I am going to show you how to make Cranberry Sauce. Okay we've been making this Cranberry Sauce and you realize instead of having a whole berry Cranberry Sauce, what you would really like is a jellied Cranberry Sauce. This isn't too difficult to do even from this step. Although we are going to make a jellied Cranberry Sauce, you shouldn't add any extra ingredients that won't be able to fit through a sif such as my adding the ginger or if you wanted to add citrus peel or something of that kind. So what you will need is a strainer and a bowl and then you are just going to take some of the Cranberry Sauce and put it into the strainer to strain out all of the skin and seeds. If you are going to make jellied Cranberry Sauce, you will also need to let it cook for a little bit longer so that all of those Cranberries are going to burst and you are going to get all of the juices out cooking with the sugar and with the water. So you can put it through the strainer and the only thing that is going to be left is some of the skins and the seeds. Left behind is going to be the jellied Cranberry Sauce. You will probably also need to make more cranberries because a lot of the solids are going to come out when you are straining it and you are not going to be left with as much sauce.
