Hello! I'm Jennifer Cail and on behalf of Expert Village, today I am going to show you how to make Cranberry Sauce. To start our Cranberry Sauce we are going to add water and sugar to the pot and we are going to wait for it to boil for the next step. So first our water. I've already measured 1 cup of water in this glass measuring cup. When measuring liquids, you really want to use a measuring cup like this instead of a measuring cup like this because then you can see what the water level is according to the measuring cup. We are going to pour the water in there and we are going to measure out our 1 cup of sugar. The easiest way to measure sugar is just to use your cup and scoop it and that is going to give us about 1 cup which is what we need to add to the water. Because it is equal amounts of water and sugar, you are going to want to stir it so that the sugar is dissolved into the water. So using the wooden spoon, you are going to start stirring that until the water looks more uniformed like cloudy instead of having a big lump of sugar right in the middle of the pot. We are going to turn the stove on and you are going to have it on high because we are going to let the water and sugar boil before we add the cranberries.
