Cooking Supplies for Cranberry Sauce Recipe

Hello! I'm Jennifer Cail and on behalf of Expert Village, today I am going to show you how to make Cranberry Sauce. Before we get started cooking, here are some of the supplies that you will be needing. You will be needing a cooking spoon. I really like using a wooden spoon for mixing anything hot on the stove. You don't have to worry about leaving it in the pot because the handle is not going to get too hot. Make sure if you do use a wooden spoon, that it doesn't have flavors from anything savory. You don't want to mix garlic with your sweet Cranberry Sauce. You will need measuring spoons for any seasoning that you add. This recipe calls for 1 teaspoon of cinnamon so we have a 1 teaspoon measuring spoon and we have a measuring cup. This is the 1 cup, cup in order to measure our sugar for the Cranberry Sauce. You will need a pot in order to cook the sauce in and I will talk more about pot sizes in just a moment. Over here you have a spatula to scrape off all the batter on the sides of those pots so that you get every last bit of Cranberry Sauce. If you are going to use a spatula, make sure it is a silicone spatula instead of the rubber one because the silicone one won't melt in the pot. And last but not least, you have some glass containers. Depending on the affect that you want on your table, you want to use different types of glass bowls. I recommend using a glass bowl because it can handle the hot Cranberry Sauce and also because it is going to show through and you will see the beautiful red inside.
