How Skin Absorbs Water

According to the health science institute you absorb more chlorine in a ten minute shower than if you drank eight glasses of the same water. You see your skin is the largest organ of your body, your pores open up when you take a hot shower allowing the chlorine to pass thru your skin and absorb directly into your blood stream at a rate that is up to six to eight times higher than drinking. Also, children's tissues, organs and biological systems are still developing with several stages of rapid growth and development that occur from ages of infancy to adolescence and it's this rapid development that can combined with the immaturity of the body organs and systems that predisposes children to potentially more severe consequences. Absorption rates vary it can be up to one hundred percent on the bladder for example, and about thirty eight percent on the forearm so it depends on what part of the body you are talking about, but certainly, its not something that we want ourselves to be absorbing into our skin. I will talk with about ways here shortly, to how to remove that from the water, and also limit what is in your water so it is better for you.
