Guitar Strumming Patterns for Christmas Music: Part 1

Hi, I'm Erica Lane with Expert Village talking about how to write a Christmas song on the guitar. So after you have constructed your chordal progression you found your phrasing and your proper order of your verses and your chorus and possibly your bridge. Now you want to find a strumming patter on your guitar. So whenever I'm playing my song "Old St. Nicholas" I actually start out with a very simple strumming pattern because as a writer I, in my case I like to layer things and build anticipation during the song. So the chords are one at a time per note (singing) so notice I just did one simple strum for each turn of the new note.
