How to Write a Bridge for a Christmas Song

Hi, I'm Erica Lane with Expert Village talking about how to write a Christmas song on the guitar. When composing a bridge if you choose to now it is totally up optional and it is not something that is always necessary. But again a bridge is going to add a lot of interest to a song, in this particular song Old St. Nicholas that I'm talking about I did construct a bridge. However, it basically uses the same chordal progression and notes as the chorus. It just has different words, I don't always do that sometimes I use a completely different melody for the bridge but in this case I use the same melody as the chorus. This is how it sounds. (singing) Then I go back and do the chorus of Father Christmas which is the same melody but different words.
