Christmas Song Styles

Hi, I'm Erica Lane with Expert Village talking about how to write a Christmas song on the guitar. You want to study your favorite song not just find them but actually study them so that you can really learn about which kind of style that you want to use for writing your Christmas song. One style is Hark the Herold Angel Sing, which is a very traditional style, it goes (singing) so it's your traditional sacred style of songs. If that is something you prefer then you are going to want to write more about the original Christmas story which is about the birth of Christ. Another one that is more upbeat that is also traditional is Joy to the World, there are also circular songs that are Christmas and holiday related such as Jingle Bells and Deck the Halls. Those both are very fun Christmasy winterly types of songs that really get you in the mood to write something that is seasonal.
