How to Start a High Limb Chainsaw

Hello! My name is Matthew Christian from Tampa, Florida and on behalf of Expert Village, today I would like to talk to you about how to properly use and maintain a high limb chain saw. Most two cycle engines found on a high limb tree saw whether it be a weed whacker, edger or what not, two cycle engines can be somewhat temperamental to get started. Some are easier than others but for all practical purposes, they are all started the same way and there are four controls that we are going go use to get them started. There is an on/off switch, a choke, primer bulb and the pull start. First step is to turn on the start switch. You may find that you are having difficulty getting your two cycle engine to start. You are priming and priming and pulling and pulling, your two cycle engine just insists on not starting. You may want to double check that you have the on switch set to the on position and your two cycle engine will not start without being on the on position.
