Japanese Currency

YUU ASAKURA: If you are travelling to Japan, this is an information for you. This is a Japanese currency, and this is the mark and we call it yen in English. Actually, in Japanese it's pronounced "En." We don't really have the "Ye" sound, so we call it "En." And this is--it's the Chinese character. And actually the number will be written in front of this. So, let's say if it's a thousand yen, it's "Sen en." Yup. And also, the quick tip that I use is--usually yen is--a dollar is usually between a hundred yen to a hundred and thirty. So what I do to convert is just to put zero after a dollar amount, they put yen. And it gives you the idea how much it actually is. It's not fun to bring the calculator all the time, so that's a quick tip for you.
