Hi! My name is Matthew Christian from Tampa, Florida and on behalf of Expert Village, we are going to talk about proper use of a hammer drill. Some hammer drills come with an auxiliary handle. This handle would go on like so and then would be tightened. For you lefties out there, this handle could be switched the other direction. Well actually this would be righty and this would be lefty but for the purpose of this handle is to provide more leverage when drilling. It helps you steady the drill and also helps you provide more pushing power when you are drilling through the concrete. Depending upon your situation, you may be in a tight spot, you need this handle and you can also adjust the handle in various other positions that might allow you to get the leverage you need but yet put in a position that allows you to get into the space.
