Hi! My name is Matthew Christian from Tampa, Florida and on behalf of Expert Village, we are going to talk about the proper use of a hammer drill. Another feature that varies between make and model of a hammer drill, is trigger. The triggers on some models are fixed speed meaning that it is either on or off and then models like this particular model which has a variable speed. So depending upon how much I pull the trigger, determines how fast the drill goes. Pull the trigger a little bit, the drill goes a little bit and pull the trigger all the way, you have full speed. The variable trigger can come in handy when you are trying to drill something just a little bit. Don't want to go too far. It is helpful to have a variable speed trigger. In addition another feature on some models, would be a locking mechanism which probably you won't you use to often. But the locking mechanism allows you to lock the trigger to the on position without actually having to hold the trigger and you do this by depressing the trigger fully.
