On behalf of Expert Village, I am Terry and today I want to give you tips on smoking a beef brisket. Okay if you didn't get a mop or you just want to make one, you can buy one at your local grocery store in the barbecue area, but I made one here. I took a pair of scissors and old towel that is closely woven and not no fuzzies. No fuzzy things hanging out and you can make a mop and you soak it into sauce so when you get on the grill, you just run this across it and you mop it with the sauce like that. Because if you use it like a basting brush like this, you are not going to get much of it on there. That is why they call it mopping. You just need to mop it on and get it good and covered. Get your hands in there if you want. Just make sure the mop is good and saturated. Mop the brisket up and take it to the grill.
