Preparing the Sauce for BBQ Brisket

On behalf of Expert Village, I'm Terry and today I am going to give you tips on smoking a beef brisket. Okay we are going to make what they call a mopping sauce that you periodically baste your meat with throughout the process. If you are cooking it 9 or 12 hours, I would say you would want to mop it at least 4 times in addition to the rub. I have some sauce that I made here. You can just use some regular store bought sauce. You take about a quarter a cup of sauce an about half a cup Apple Cider vinegar. you mix those two together. Stir them up a little bit. It is not going to have the consistency of a barbecue. It is going to be real liquidity like water. Real lose because basically you are going to do is mop it on.
