Okay, there comes a time in a poker tournament when you need to know when to push and when to fold. There comes a time in a tournament when those are your only two options. You don't want to be seeing a flop when you have basically just a hand full of chips left. So, how do we know how to do that? Well, again, it's the M or the CSI. Let's look at this scenario. The blinds are one and two. And I look down at my hand and I've got suited connectors, eight seven diamonds. Well, two goes into my stack six times. I've got an M or CSI of six. You know what, from the small blind, folded around to me, I don't want to do this, I don't want to say I raise and just bet some of my stack. I'm all in. And what's the reason? Well, the reason is if I raise the guy in the big blind is getting a good payout on his money to have a shot at knocking me out of the tournament. Whereas if I go all in, it costs him a lot more to play the rest of the hand and he's gonna look down at his hand and most of the time anyone with sense is gonna fold that jack six even though it's suited.
