Consulting a Doctor About Nutritional Supplements

Hi I’m Lisa Jones on behalf of Expert Village. In this segment we’ll be talking about consulting with your doctor. Please feel free to visit my website at www.healthwisewithlisajones.com. When consulting with your doctor, it is very important to do so if you need a supplement for a medical reason. Your doctor will likely tell you. Also, if you are concerned that you may need a supplement, speak with your doctor. It is important to inform your doctor if you are going to be taking the supplement because taking one vitamin or mineral in excess may reduce the absorption of another important vitamin or mineral needed by your body. So that is why it is very important if you take any of these supplements here to tell your doctor that you are taking them. They may also interact with other medications that your doctor may prescribe to you and possibly some of the medications and supplements mixing in the interaction of them can be potentially dangerous for you. So make sure that you do discuss all the supplements that you are taking with your doctor.
