Hello, I'm Jennifer Cail and on behalf of Expert Village I'm going to show you how to set your table for Thanksgiving Day dinner. What if you want to have a Thanksgiving dinner but you don't have formal china and you don't feel like you can do this to the dinner with out it? I wouldn't worry at all, you can use casual dinnerware just as nicely as china and still have a very nice Thanksgiving Day place setting. What you want to do is not emphasize the fact that it is casual ware but instead still have a nice place setting where you have your plate. If you're going to have soup and you still have your soup bowl, if you're planning on having coffee and you still have your teacup and your saucer. So the important part is not the type of dish that you are going to be using at your dinner. The important part is making it look nice and actually the most important part of Thanksgiving is having friends and family over for dinner. No one is going to care if you have plastic plates versus fine china and certainly if you're a new couple starting out and this is your first Thanksgiving with your family no one is going to be thinking about rather or not your china looks good. They are going to be thinking about rather or not you are having fun.
