Raising Pigs: Pig Pregnancy

So if you do have your own sow and you do manage successfully to get her bred, then the next part is her pregnancy, her gestation and getting finally getting her piglets at the end result. Sow's pregnancy or gestation period are 3 weeks, 3 months and 3 days supposedly around there. It is a good rule of thumb to remember when your sow will be due. During that process it is another great thing to remember for that your sow needs nutrient requirements to keep that mother happy just like any human mother and of course when those piglets are born, your whole new bedding and whole new housing needs to change as well to keep those piglets and mother healthy and happy. So it is mostly the farmer's responsibility for new sanitation, new requirements for feeding as well which can always be researched so you always know what to expect for the next step.
