Using Long-Lasting Lipsticks for Wedding Day Makeup

Welcome to Expert Village. This is Kim Brown. In this segment, we are going to be talking about long lasting lipsticks. The difference between long lasting lipsticks and just your regular lipstick and liner is that it is going to last all day long, the color will stay. When you are drinking and when you kiss your groom, you are not going to have the worry of it coming off. The thing with long lasting lipstick that you have to remember is they are drier on your lips and normally you can’t put anything on your lips before you put the long lasting lipstick on, so it needs to be the first and only thing on your lips and then this particular one comes with the color and then the gloss, that goes over it. You continually put the gloss on during the day and that keeps it moist and it keeps it lasting long. You don’t want to use another gloss with it, that will create a balling up affect of the lipstick and it will not last as long, so we don’t do a liner with long-lasting lipstick. All long lasting lipsticks are little bit different so you could possibly try it out ahead of time before your wedding day and try it out with liner and see if it will last for you if it does not affect the lasting stay of it. Then we will let that dry just a little bit and can you feel how drying that is? Yeah. Then we want to put the gloss on. These usually come in a lot of different colors and this color we chose because it matches her palette; it is more of a mauve type bronzy color, so you just apply the gloss over it. Once the gloss goes on, doesn’t it feel nice? It doesn’t feel dry anymore. For more information on the wedding tips that I gave you today, you can contact us at kimandcosalon.com.
