The H Sound Vocal Exercise

Hi Larissa Lam here, continuing our series on vocal lessons and singing techniques. Well, we have done a lot of exercises in the past, if you've been watching my series, a lot of M sounds. Ma ma ma, mi me ma mo mu, we're going to tackle the H sound which is a soft consonant and it's a little bit difficult sometimes, to get that breath support so it takes a lot of training and practice. Here's a good exercise you can practice that will help you train that H sound. He hay he hay ha ha ha. So you're going to be saying he hay he hay ha ha ha. Make sure it's nice and open though. Ha ha ha. He hay he hay ha ha ha. He hay he hay ha ha ha. You see how my diaphragm is working real hard right now. He hay he hay ha ha ha. He hay he hay ha ha ha. He hay he hay ha ha ha. He hay he hay ha ha ha. It gets harder as you get higher so it's really important to support your diaphragm. He hay he hay ha ha ha. He hay he hay ha ha ha. He hay he hay ha ha ha. He hay he hay ha ha ha. He hay he hay ha ha ha. He hay he hay ha ha ha. He hay he hay ha ha ha. He hay he hay ha ha ha. Work those muscles. He hay- he hay he hay ha ha ha. He hay he hay ha ha ha. He hay he hay ha ha ha. If you need to take a break, make sure you take a break, and you don't get light headed. And trust me, you're going to need to do this over and over again because those muscles will be really working in your diaphragm.
