Hi, this is Larissa Lam here on behalf of Expert Village, continuing our series on proper singing techniques. Now here's another great exercise that again, you may feel a little silly singing Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma. But trust me, it helps you increase your range and it will help you with pitch too. So I'm going to be playing along with our piano. Now if you've got a piano at home, you can do this exercise as well on your own. Here we go. Remember to breathe with your diaphragm. Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma. Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma. Make sure you have nice and round open sounds, not Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma. You don't want to do that. You want to do Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma. Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma. It's a little bit exaggerated. Look at yourself in the mirror too, to make sure you have a nice, open vocal sound. Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma. Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma. Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma. Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma. Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma. Make sure you have nice good, good breath support. Because as you go up the scale, the higher you go, the more breath support you're going to need. Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma. If this is too high for you, don't worry. Just take a breath, take a breather, take a drink and come back and join in when you can sing the notes. Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma. Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma. Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma. Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma.
