Season Fennel Soup

Hi I'm Stephanie Barnett on behalf of Expert Village. I'm here to show you how to make fennel soup. So you soup have been cooking for about 20 minutes at this point. It could cook longer then that. You can let it cook for a hour if you like it would just help meld the flavors together. But now it is the important part. Take a clean spoon and dip it in the soup and taste it. That needs salt and pepper. So what I want you to do is take a little bit of salt. We don't have to measure it but don't take a whole hand full just take a couple of pinches. A little bit of pepper. Then stir it up, let it sit for a minute. Then take a clean spoon not the spoon that you just dip we don't double dip and try it again. It still can use a tiny bit more salt. Also if the tomatoes are a bit acidic you can tell if there is that little bit of ugh afterwards you can add a little bit of sugar. That would cut the acidic down.
