Add Puree & Stock for Fennel Soup

Hi I'm Stephanie Barnett on behalf of Expert Village. I'm here to show you how to make fennel soup. So our next step in making fennel soup is adding the tomatoes that you puree. So I'm going to add those, also you might want to wear a apron this could bet a little messy. Have a rubber spatula to get all that tomato out of the blender or if you use a food processor the same thing. If you use a food processor remember when you tip it up that blade would come out so hold that blade in there. I want you to stir this up first and then see the consistency of the soup. It is going to be quiet thick and you don't want your soup this thick. So I want you know to take some of your stock that you have on hand that is heated up a little bit and pour just a little bit in. You don't need to pour all of your stock in. I want you to look at the consistency of this soup and that is going to tell you how much stock to add in. It is pretty thick right now it needs to cook for a while. You want to make it a little thinner then it needs to be. So we are going to add a little bit more stock that is about the right consistency.
