Hi I'm Stephanie Barnett on behalf of Expert Village. I'm here to show you how to make fennel soup. I have washed and peeled 2 carrots and cut off the ends. I'm also going to cut off the top ends and you want these carrots pieces in small pieces so I'm going to cut the carrot lengthwise and then I'm going to cut that again. Again and again and again. Then you are going to line these up and you are going to chop them then they would be in uniform small pieces. You don't want any of your vegetables to be to big because you want them to be able to fit on a soup spoon. So once again you are going to cut this in half and then you are going to cut this into several long pieces. You are going to line it all up and then you are going to chop it into uniform pieces. Also when you are chopping it is good idea that you are comfortable with chopping to keep your fingers down like this. That way your knife can come back up next to your fingers and not chop off the tips of your fingers.
