Hi I'm Stephanie Barnett on behalf of Expert Village. I'm here to show you how to make fennel soup. This is a head of garlic in most recipes you would not be using a entire head of garlic. This is a clove of garlic this is what you would be using in most recipes. Now for your fennel soup I would use 3 cloves or garlic and you just separate it. If you like your soup with a little bit more garlicky you can use more garlic cloves but don't use a entire head because that is all your would taste is the garlic. A easy way deal with garlic is smash it with your knife and then you need to peel the outer layer and there is a tough part right here at the bottom. You need to cut that off and then you are going to chop down like in little rectangles. Then you are going to turn this whole mass side ways and you are going to chop little pieces off. Garlic is actually more intense the finer it is chopped. So we want a fine chop on this and we are going ot use 3 cloves of garlic.
