How to Play Chords on a Flute in G Flat: Part 2

We also have a minor chord which starts off of the second note of the scale. Let's look back at the paper. We have a A flat which is a 2nd note of the scale moving up a minor 3rd to C flat because of 3 half steps. Moving up to the next 3rd E flat which is a major 3rd or 4 half steps. You can see written out starting on the 2nd note playing the 2nd, 4th, and 6th note of this scale you get a A flat minor sound. Let's look at the piano again to hear the sounds. A flat moving up 1,2,3 half step. C flat and C flat 1,2,3,4 half step which is in major 3rd. Let me play the A flat arpeggio. You can hear how it sounds minor compare the G flat arpeggio with the 1 chord. These are the 2 chords from the G flat major scale.
