Many orchid growers? start by growing in a windowsill and part of it is finding a windowsill which is adaptable and which will provide the conditions that your orchids will like. One of the rules of thumb you can use in doing this is if you grow African Violets and they do well for you in that particular window sill, a plant like phalaenopsis will be just as happy growing side by side. In fact, that's why many orchid growers also grow things like African Violets because they are compatible to the same conditions. Now are there other plants? And that's where you can begin experimenting with what can be adaptable to your windowsill. How can you find out what's adaptable to your windowsill? Well, there's a lot of ways you can do it.
