Playing the 4th Note in an E Flat Flute Scale

The 4th note in the E flat major scale is A flat. Let's look at A flat on the staff. On the flute A flat is fingered with the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and pinkie key as well as the thumb key for the left hand. The only key down is the pinkie on the right hand. Let's listen. Reviewing back from the beginning of our scale we start on E flat go up a whole step to F, go up another whole step to G and then go a half step by adding just the pinkie key to the last note that we learned A flat. Let's listen. A flat was our last note that we learned.
