Tips for D Major Two-Octave Scales & Modes

CASEY CORMIER: ...A, and now we move up to play the F sharp at the 9th fret of the D string with our first finger. G sharp or--I am sorry this is a B, C sharp, D. Now we use our second finger here. There is a lot of switching in this one, so let us take it slow, one more time. D, E, F sharp, G, A, first finger, B, C sharp, first finger, D, that is probably a good way of doing too. E, F sharp, G, A, now B with our first finger, C sharp D. There is no easy way to play this two-octave D major scale that is why it is a challenge. But once you get used to your fingerboard, this is something you really work your way up to, so you really understand the way your intervals are and your ear and your knowledge of theory will really [SNAPS FINGER].
