Next, we set our timer for 8 minutes and simmer for 8 minutes being careful not to take it to a rolling boil. We don't want to burn the cream and the milk, so we turn it down a little bit to medium heat and continue to stir. Now that we're finished with our 8 minutes of simmer, we turn off the contents in the sauce pan. Now for the yummy part. We add one teaspoon of vanilla, stirring that in to dissolve. Two tablespoons of scotch whiskey. Then one tablespoon for the cook for luck. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
