Hello! On behalf of expertvillage.com, I'm Deborah with Deborah's Delights. I would like to share with you an old family recipe. How to make a scotch pudding. Now, we move onto our ingredients. Don't let the heavy creams and the sugars scare you off because it's for a special occasion. First of all, we have heavy whipping cream, whole milk, brown sugar, a little sea salt, a tiny bit of whiskey. Not so much, but important for flavor. Vanilla extract, egg yolks, which we'll separate form the egg whites later on. Corn starch, some delicious yummy butter. It adds lots of flavor. Last but not least, we have toffee to top of our scotch pudding.
Old family recipe? LOL. Check this out - and note the date! http://www.rachaelra ymag.com/recipes/des sert-recipes/scotch- pudding/article.html Particularly funny is the 1t of salt. Waaaaay too much in both recipes!
