How to Blend Foundation Makeup

Hi! I’m Yvette Parrish. Thanks for joining me at Expert Village. Today, I’m going to show you how to apply makeup properly, professionally, and the use of brushes. And you see how pretty it covers. If you apply the foundation with your fingers under the eyes, sometimes you don’t have to use a concealer because it’s more coverage, so you are not needing another product, the least products the better on your skin if you want a natural look. For Anna Lucy today, I am going to do a very warm golden natural look that would be great for her in college, and it will be great for her to do easily and also fast to glamour up as well. I am taking a little bit of foundation and I am applying it on her eyelids and you ask why… because everyone has a little bit of discoloration on their eyelids, sometimes they have veins, sometimes they are darker in this orbit, they are pinker. It’s always some issue everyone has on their eyelid, so it is really best to put a little foundation there too so the whole face is the same texture, and when it is time to apply the powder, the powder grabs evenly all over the face, and you don’t have to worry about the powder grabbing here and not here. Remember, as we are painting, so we want everything… the whole canvas to be one color, even her eyelids, and it is a very pretty foundation. As you can see it has got a pretty yellow base to it, and you can still see her skin through it, so it is a natural to medium. I’m really not using that much, I am just kind of going over where ever I think, she can use a little bit more. Typically women in general need the most makeup in this center panel. We need it in the corner of the mouth, we need it in the corner of the nose and the corner of the eyes. This whole center is where predominantly most of the makeup will be, whereas you get to the edge of the face, it is least… less.
