How to Introduce Yourself in Japanese

After saying nice to meet you, you will tell the other person your name. This is how to introduce your name watashi we...desu this. Watashi means I and the wa it works as is or am like in English and this is politeness. Repeat after me watashi this. So my name is Yuu so in this case I would say watashi wa... watashi Yuu desu. Make sense? As you start to speak faster you might recognize at the end my desu sound becomes lighter. Watashi wa desu. But that does not mean it does not have a su sound, it just gets faster. So with your name practice this sentence. Watashi wa...desu.
