CASEY CORMIER: Okay. So we know our octave is always two strings down and two frets away. So let's say for E, we'll play [SLAPS E] we'll slap our open and we'll pop [POPS OCTAVE E] the 2nd fret of the D string, E [PLAYS SLAP AND POP OCTAVES], and we will try to make it--these are also lines that were really prefer to make them staccato. So staccato pop and slap. Try it with G now [PLAYS SLAP AND POP]. If you are more comfortable as you 4th finger here [PLAYS SLAP AND POP] that is okay. With A [PLAYS SLAP AND POP] or [PLAYS SLAP AND POP]. Now with the A string, we will slap A open, and we will pop the A on the G string, 2nd fret. C [PLAYS SLAP AND POP] so for now just alternate slap, pop, slap, pop until you feel like you have a really good sound, and I definitely recommend starting on the low E and E on the D string, and then A.
