Growing Orchids in Dry & Wet Conditions

"Some Orchards grow in very dry conditions, and those plants that grow in the very dry conditions will typically have a root that wants to creep along the sub straight and we can see it going here, and it doesn't require a lot of water because it also combines the thick fleshy leaf that is common with this group and as a consequence can subsist on the dew that is created every evening, particularly during certain periods of the year. The rest of the year when this dew is not produced, it hibernates, and goes into a temporary cessation of growth. Other forms grow in running water and they are not an easy form to grow because they need very pure water, they need a moss that grows along with them, and these are very common in parts of the African Mountain area and particularly around the Cape of Good Hope."
