CASEY CORMIER: Now remember, when before we did that the rhythmic reading, we did that dub song [PLAYS BASS LINE], notice the similarity? The emphasis is on the same places, only the other one is a little bit more involved. It's all about the upstroke though 'cause the guitars are going, or the other instruments [HUMS RHYTHMICALLY ON TWO AND FOUR] so. We use lines such as these and use the one and "ands" tum, pom, po-pum, pum-pum, pum-pum, pum,-pum, pa-pum, the "and" beats to get your way there, to really create a reggae feel on your bass.
