Hi! I’m Cambrey Lindsay Baccus with Expert Village and I am here today to talk to you about trance dance. As you are trance dancing, if you feel like you absolutely need to get water and you can’t continue without getting a drink of water, then it is okay to stop and have a drink of water and then come back in to the dance. Begin again with that breath. Bring that breath into the body and then begin to let the body find the rhythm again. I discovered trance dance through another dance studio and learned that a man named Wilbert Alexis was coming to help facilitate a trance dance event. When I went to that event I had one of the most amazing experiences I ever had in my life. I made sure that when I went in that I knew I was going in without any expectations and without making any assumptions. My intention from my dance, my first dance, was to let go of ego; to get out of my head. So with that being my intention, I had this beautiful experience of this vision of going off into the universe and then being pulled right back down to earth into a rain forest and that rain forest met up with a young little boy and we were walking through the rain forest and then he turned into a jaguar. At the time I didn’t know it was a jaguar. I had to go on line and look up big cats and figure that out but then I also became one of his cats so when we were running through the rain forest it was just the most freeing, amazing, beautiful experience that I ever had in my life.
